Preparing A Brief: Home

INTRODUCTION

You have appealed a final order from a trial court to an Alabama appellate court. Now, you must prepare and file an appellant brief.  An appellant brief is a written argument that explains why the trial court ruled incorrectly. The appellant is the person/party filing the appeal. The other person/party is known as the appellee.
